An Open Letter to Rep. Pascrell, Senators Menendez and Lautenberg

Gentlemen,

Again I am writing to urge you as my representatives in Congress to vote no on the proposed health care plans put forth by the house and the senate.  Please vote according to the majority of your constituents who do not want government run health care.  Not only is it unconstitutional as written, but it will send the economy into a tailspin.   It is unconstitutional in that it mandates the purchase of health insurance.  Nowhere in the Constitution gives congress the power to mandate that citizens have to purchase anything.  Regardless if it is a good thing, it goes against everything that this country was founded on.  I'm sure you've seen the results of the election here in New Jersey as well as Virginia.  The main reason that Corzine lost is because he failed to listen to the people and did what he wanted to do.  Don't make the same mistake.  Don't vote for the health care bills because it's what your party wants you to do, vote against them because it's what the people who voted you into office want you to do.  If you fail to do what we the people of New Jersey want you to do, then I recommend you start preparing yourselves for living as a private citizen.  The people of New Jersey will no longer tolerate self-interested behavior in congress.  I don't care if our representatives are democrats or republicans, as long as you vote according to what your constituents want and not the special interest groups and lobbyists.

   Respectfully,

    Brendan Dullaghan
